Other Articles: Heresy in the church....
Anonymous writes "So should we coddle the heretics ?

"Heresy is like a snake at the North Pole. Feel sorry for it, pick it up and put it in your coat to warm it up and as soon as it gets warm it will bite you. You take time to ask it 'WHY DID YOU BITE ME???' and it will reply to you - 'WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED ? YOU KNEW WHAT I WAS WHEN YOU PICKED ME UP'. You can't change a snake by warming it up from the cold; neither can you change bad doctrine by warming up to those who teach it and treating them as 'brothers'.

These 'brothers' will smile in your face as they slowly twist the knife of heresy into your back. The recent vote at the ETS to NOT kick Clark Pinnock and John Sanders out is a perfect example. My personal take is that ETS needs to change it's name to the FETS- FORMERLY Evangelical Theological Society. How you keep folks in your midst and treat them as 'brothers' when they deny the omniscience of God and redefine it to mean something OTHER than God's exhaustive knowledge of all events past, present and future AND deny the innerrancy of scripture is beyond me." - Me, On Heresy in the Church Today "
